Administration
James Taylor Office Manager James is the friendly and helpful voice answering the phones, scheduling flight instruction and aircraft rental, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of Ocean Air. He is always more than happy to help with with any of your questions or scheduling needs or to proctor your LaserGrade exam!
Maintenace Department
Dudley Clark Chief Inspector / IA / Director of Maintenance Dudley served in the U.S. Navy, on Midway Island and at NAS Miramar. After graduating from San Jose State University, Dudley obtained his Airframe and Powerplant certificates and later his Inspection Authorization. He has completed Lycoming, Continental, Piper, Cessna, and Robinson Helicopter factory training in addition to experience working at a Mooney Service Center. Dudley also has has training in several turboprop aircraft, has run an engine overhaul shop, worked at a prop repair station, and serves as a Designated Mechanics Examiner for the FAA. He also holds Rotax 912 heavy maintenance and LSA repairman certifications.
Clark Grace A&P, IA Clark is a graduate of the Gavilan College with Airframe and Powerplane certificates. He also hold an Inspection Authorization for general aviation aircraft.
Henry Fuentes S-LSA Repairman / ROTAX technician Henry trained at California Power Systems as a ROTAX service technician and holds a 120 hour S-LSA repairmain certificate. Henry also specializes in aircraft detailing.
Flight Instruction
Marjorie Bachman Certified Flight Instructor Marjorie began her aviation career as a Naval Aviator in 1980 after graduating from the U. S. Naval Academy. She instructed primary flight students in the T28B & T34C. She also flew the EC130 in an electronic warfare mission and instructed in the C130 for a short time. In 1987, she transitioned to Northwest Airlines serving as a 727 Flight Engineer and a 757 First Officer. Marjorie received her civilian CFII & MEI in May 2010 and enjoys teaching in both G.A. and light sport aircraft.
Harry Ishikawa Certified Flight Instructor Harry brings many years of successful small business ownership and extensive flying experience to his role as CFII. He is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Cruz and fluent in Japanese. Harry has been instructing on a part time basis for over two years. His first love is flying and this enthusiasm rubs off quickly on his students. They also enjoy his clear and concise way of teaching and his in depth knowledge of aviation.
Rick Macleod Certified Flight Instructor Rick is an ATP rated CFII with broad experience giving flight instruction, including instrument, multi-engine and tailwheel.
Jon Thornton Certified Flight Instructor Jon is a CFII and MEI specializing in glass cockpit transition training and mutli-engine training in our new P2006T.
